In an era of overconsumption our lives are controlled by products engineered to fail, manufactured to become obsolete, and designed to be replaced. Soulless furniture, expected to be replaced, has killed the tradition of pieces that were once made with care and built to be repaired. As fast furniture fills our homes and landfills, I aimed to find the emotional and physical elements that would inspire and allow generations to cherish, repair, and connect with their possessions; in other words: Designing Meaningful Ownership
