MIRA, the mirror-based independence routine assistant, is a smart showering tool designed to support individuals with level 2 autism in building hygiene independence. Challenges with fine motor skills, executive functioning, and working memory can make showering difficult without assistance. MIRA uses smart mirror technology to guide users with visual steps, verbal prompts, timers, and built in soap dispensers, creating a calm structured routine that empowers both users and caregivers.
