If my past 8 years of pole vaulting have taught me anything, it is that hard work always pays off, and transporting oversized objects is a pain in the butt, especially if you don’t own a car with a roof rack. My thesis project aims to tackle this challenge by creating a roof rack system that can mount to any vehicle through a combination of magnets and suction cups. This system also has access to a variety of different mounting modules to help users transport an array of objects, including bikes, kayaks, construction materials, and paddle/surf boards.
