Soogi

For my thesis, I wanted to focus on the lack of sustainability in the footwear industry. In my research, I found that the overconsumption of footwear stems as a result of very predictable wear that is often easily repairable. As my solution, I designed Soogi, a sneaker that allows the consumer to repair the shoe themselves. Soogi is shipped flat packed to the consumer, which they will then assemble themselves using no adhesive, allowing them to replace individual components as they wear out.
