We found that fast furniture was the second largest contributor to urban waste, that consumers rely on it without any knowledge of where those pieces end up, and that producers construct them with little care for their impact on the Earth. In response, we created two products; one to start the conversation about designing the post-life of furniture into positive ecological tools, and another to provide consumers with an emotional experience tied to the lifespan and disposal of their pieces.
